Tinubu, Jonathan, Govs set to commission projects to mark Diri’s fifth year in office

President Bola Ahmed Tinunu, former President Goodluck Jonathan, Governors set to commission projects in Bayelsa, to mark Governor Douye Diri’s five years in office.

Hon. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, Commissioner for Information Orientation and Strategy stated this during a press briefing in her office on Saturday.

According to her: “we are here to brief the state and the world on the activities we have been lined up for the five years anniversary of the Prosperity Government, led by Gov. Douye Diri.

“Our programme for the 5th anniversary will commence on Monday 10, with a free medical outreach at Ikarama Community, under Yenagoa Local Government, under Constituency 3.

“In all we have 17 projects and three ground breaking, for the five years anniversary of the governor.

“Other projects are Okaka road opposite Prosco, Dialysis Centre, General Out Patients Hospital, Zipline drone services, Onuebum/Otuoke road, Stadium groundbreaking.

“Empowerment of 3000 youths, new Yenagoa City, commissioning of Legislative Quarters, NLC and TUC House, Opolo road, Phase 1, ground breaking of nine story building state Secretariat.

“Others are Sagbama Ekeromor road, Agge Sea Port and road, ICT village, Commissioners quarters, amongst others are to be commissioned,” she explained.

The Commissioner urged Bayelsa people to follow up with the event to note what the Prosperity Administration of governor Diri, is doing for the people.

She said that all their projects and programmes are all evidence base not false or deception.

On his part, Hon. Moses Teibowei, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, explained that the Prosco road is a high profile road and the best in Yenagoa.

He said that they will ensure that all the roads are completed within a period of two years, with good quality and good standard.

According to him, the governor has done very well when it comes to infrastructural development amongst other sectors.
