Rangers Return To Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, tackle Shooting Stars in Enugu on December 28

Rangers International Football Club finally returned to Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, after playing their home matches at Awka City Stadium in Anambra for over two seasons.

The General Manager of the Enugu club, Amobi Ezeaku, stated this on Friday while briefing sports journalists on the current development in the club.

Ezeaku said that the club would trade tackles with its old rival – Shooting Stars football club, Ibadan on December 28 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Ezeaku also revealed that the club will float under-13 and under-17 female teams, from which the team will groom young talents for the main team.

He expressed gratitude for the effort of Gov. Peter Mbah in ensuring the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium returned to its former glory.

“Governor Mbah swore that Rangers must be back in Enugu, and we are back. We are grateful that we are back, but the stadium must not be destroyed. We want to let you know that the cathedral is back and sanctified,” he said.

He assured that adequate security has been put in place to ensure that fans, players, and officials are safe at the stadium when matches are played.
