PND Lashes At Dr Olukemi Lawrence Olunloyo For Traducing NSA Ribadu

A socio-political  bloc,Project NIger Delta (PND), has berated one Dr. Olukemi Lawrence Olunloyo, a journalist, blogger, clinical/retail pharmacist who hails from Oyo State but based in the United States of America, to stop traducing the image of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by Comrade Princewill Timipre Ebebi, Executive Director/Coordinator of Project Niger Delta, made available to Daily News Nigeria on Monday stated that Olunloyo reclined on the 27th day of September, 2024 on her Youtube video about how Mr. Femi Falana SAN bought stolen houses and cars seized by the EFCC in the 90’s during Nuhu Ribadu’s era where politicians and yahoo boys were ripped off.

“That Ribadu was selling assets received from yahoo boys in the 1990’s by the EFCC to Mr. Femi Falana SAN was stout with falsehood and malicious which you intended to disdain his hard earned reputation and pedigree over the years.We take a very strong exception to your baseless allegations as distraction to national security  management  and you are delibrately nursing the roguish desires of the enemies of Nigeria which is quite unfortunate as a Nigerian.We believed your articulated lain venture in service delivery of your paymasters would never see the light of the day.

“Let us elucidate you about Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and his impeccable reputation to make the record straight and educate you as follows:

.

1. He started his elementary school at Mustapha Primary school from 1966-1973  and  Yelwa Government Secondary school from 1973-1978. He further, proceeded College of preliminary studies, Yola from 1978-1980 before proceeding studied law at Ahmadu Bello University at Zaria in Kaduna State from 1980-1983.Upon graduation and been awarded Bachelor of Law. Following a year at the Nigerian Law school,he was called to Bar in 1984.He also earned a masters of law degree from same university.This is tells that duo(Nuhu Ribadu Esq and Femi Falana SAN) are learned colleagues, therefore, what is wrong if at all they have strong link together.He is also TED fellow and senior fellow in st.antony’s college,university of oxford in United Kingdom.

“2.Mallam Nuhu Ribadu enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force shortly after graduation and held the positions of Assistant Superindent of Police in  January 1,1986; DSP 1992; Divisional  crime officer for Ajegunle,mushin,Apapa from 1990-1997,Force CID,SP 1998;CSP  and ACP in 2002.(3)Mallam Nuhu Ribadu ran unsuccessfully for the office of the President of Nigeria in 2011 as the candidate of the Action Congress (AC).

(4).He ran for governor of Adamawa state in 2015 as candidate of the  People Democratic Party (PDP)  before joining the All Progressive Congress (APC) to run in 2019 and lost his bid in 2023 to Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed.

(5).He was the chairman of the petroleum Special Revenue Task Force from  2012-2014 and pioneer executive chairman of the efcc from 2003-2007.

“Mallam Nuhu Ribadu was an Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP), born on the 21st day of November,1960 in Adamawa State was appointed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and reappointed until 2007.

“The EFCC was established by an act of the National Assembly on the 12th day of December, 2002.It may interest you to note that on the 20th day of october,2006; Nuhu Ribadu told BBC that over 380 billion dollars had been or wasted by Nigerian Government since independence in 1960.Under Ribadu’s administration,the efcc charged prominent bankers, former state governors, ministers, senators, high-ranking political party members, even the head of Nigeria Police Force.The efcc issued thousands of indictments and achieved about 270 convictions during his stint in office.One of the mind blowing notable case is that of his boss.The then IGP Tafa Balogun,who was convicted,jailed and made to return €150 million euros under plea bargain.During the cause of his duty Ribadu was offered bribes to pervert the cause of justice,amongst  these was a state governor who offered Ribadu $15 million dollars and a house abroad.

“This interviewed from washington D.C on the BBC’s Hardtalk,Ribadu said that he took the money and used the bribe as evidence to prosecute the state governor.This claim has however been refuted by the ex-governor who claimed that the fact that Ribadu put the money in the central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)   is not a proof that he gave the money. Hence, Ribadu escaped two assassination attempts in Nigeria before  he left the country for the United kingdom in 2007 which is less than two months before the end of Obasanjo administration.He was later Promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector  General of Police and was retired.

“Mallam Ribadu”s achievements are quite  enormous in the EFCC and they are indelible.They includes the de-listing of Nigeria from FATF list of non- corperative countries and territories admission into the prestigeous egmont group and the withdrawal of the U S Treasury FINCEN advisory on Nigeria.These and  many more achievements helped make  the EFCC the foremost Anti-corruption enforcement Agency on the African continent.It would interest you to note more that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as a renowned public servant from the Nigeria police  to politics until date as incumbent Natonal Security Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has consistently demonstrated integrity and a commitment to fighting corruption.Hence,he received various awards both natonally and intertionally in recognition of his stance and  fight against corruption.

“From the foregoing,it is pertinent to note that Mallam Nuhu Ribadu,the Natonal Security Adviser of Nigeria has shown uncompromisable public service delivery to Nigerians over the years without any stain on record and at such he cannot be label as a corruption enabler during his tenure as EFCC chairman  as alleged by your slanderous  Youtube video and that he should not be trusted even now as failed.Therefore,we want to state unequivocally that you Dr. Olukemi lawrence Olunloyo and her cohorts should restrain from plundering blackmail against the Nigeria National Security Adviser  (Mallam Nuhu Ribadu) forthwith for he has alot of clarion state mandates to deliver to Nigerians which includes your family as well located in Oyo State.We also want the general public to disgards the show of envy displayed by Dr.olukemi lawrencee Olunloyo for it entirety.
