Media Network Associates honours IMT Director of Works, Engr Okorowo with Distinguished Merit Award

Director of works, Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, Engr Okorowo Cyril has been honoured with

a “Distinguished Merit Award” for the year 2024 by a group of professionals called “Media Network Associates”.

In a citation read at the investiture in Enugu by the Chairman of the media group, Comrade Okolo Norbert, Engr Okorowo was described as “a team player who plays by the rules and had within a very short period ensured that the works department of IMT were able to meet up with the institution’s expectations.

“These included a series of request for infrastructural maintenances, renovation and refurbishing on a time scale that is very rare.”

Engr Okorowo was also described as a through professional that had been able to ensure that every section operate in an orderly manner.

“He is a workaholic who has the welfare of workers under him at heart. He motivates them to work harder to achieve result.

Responding, Engr Okorowo said he was surprised at the honour, adding that it will spur him for more work to meet with the expectation of the authorities, students particularly in area of maintenance of the institution’s facilities and structures.
