May 29: Enugu Tribunal dismisses application to stop Mbah's Inauguration

Relief came to the way of Enugu State Governor-elect, Dr Peter Mbah, on Tuesday following the dismissal of the application seeking to stop him from being inaugurated on May 29, this year.

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) and its governorship candidate in the March 18 Governorship election prayed the Tribunal to stop the forthcoming inauguration and/or swearing in of Mbah as the incoming governor of Enugu State.

The Petitioners through their Motion, urged the Tribunal to make an interlocutory order of injunction restraining the Governor-elect Peter Ndubuisi Mbah from presenting himself, for the purposes of being sworn in or inaugurated as the Executive Governor of Enugu State come May 29, 2023.

But in a ruling on Tuesday, the Tribunal dismissed the application for lacking in merit.
