Imo Govt demolishes All Seasons Hotel premises in Owerri

The Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) yesterday demolished the All Seasons Hotel premises belonging to a Chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, Evangelist Mike Ikeokwu.

Mike Ikeokwu is among stakeholders of the PDP supporting the governorship candidate of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, to win the forthcoming  gubernatorial election slated for November 11, this year.

Parts of the hotel premises located in New Owerri in Owerri capital city were pulled down by capital development authority led by its General Manager, Frank Nzenwodo Nkem.

Reporters who visited the hotel in Owerri saw some workers who were crying over the situation that might cause many of them in the hotel jobless.

Contacted, the owner of the hotel, Evangelist Mike Ikeokwu told newsmen that his hotel premises was destroyed by Uzodinma’s government on Monday afternoon.

His words: “The Governor was seen in a video, threatening to open war with opposition in the state. I have the video where he said on Sunday that he will clampdown on Opposition politicians in Imo State.
.
“He has started with my hotel”.

Efforts to reach staff of the Owerri Capital Development Authority for comment were not fruitful as none of them was ready to speak on the matter at their office on Tuesday.
