Ikeje Asogwa: Celebrating Philanthropy @56

His name is Chief Ikeje, Asogwa. His name is a household name in Enugu and beyond, not because he is the most prominent or richest man. No. It is just because he is a permanent good man, whose philanthropy, humanity, and humility are topnotch, consistent, and unprecedented.

Today, he is 56 years old and has remained himself, even out of public office.

To him, life is all about touching lives and rendering selfless service to humanity. This he has demonstrated and continued to demonstrate quietly and ceaselessly without minding whose ox is gored or seeking cheap popularity.

Ide as he is popularly known and called by admirers and people, loves seeing people around him happy and prosperous at all times. He doesn’t only give people fish; he teaches them how to get fish on their own.

His footprints, antecedents, and track record in and out of public office speak the volume of his personality , what he stands for, and symbolises. No wonder at 56; he has not only remained the king of men and toast of the people but the king of boys.

As a real estate developer, politician, businessman, and contractor, Ide is fulfilled, contented, and happy at 56.
