Ifeanyi Uba's entrance will bring additional value to APC - Uzodimma

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has said that the entrance of Senator Ifeanyi Uba into the All Progressives Congress (APC) will bring additional value and robustness to the party in Anambra State.

Uzodimma made this assertion during the ‘APC South East colloquium’ and official reception of Senator Ifeanyi Uba into the APC at Nenwi, Anambra State on Friday.

The governor further stated that Senator Ifeanyi Uba came to the Senate through the umbrella of an unknown political party and with the opportunity of being associated with a known political party, the sky will be his limit.

Uzodimma urged other patriotic Igbo men and women who have not embraced the national project to do so without further hesitation.

He expressed the imperative of politicians from the South East geo-political zone joining the national ruling party, so as to leverage on federal might and resources.

According to him, “There is no going back in their resolve to make South East part and parcel of the APC, stressing that Ndigbo would not afford to be isolated from the Nigerian project.

“The Nigerian project of today has no room for those who are in lamentation as it is guided by pragmatism”, he said.

In his address, the national chairman of APC, Alhaji Umar Ganduje described Anambra as heartbeat of the South East, declaring that the state must not remain in political ostracisation, hence the resolve of the APC to take over the state.

He noted that Anambra was not making the level of progress it should be making, judging by its pedigree, natural and human resources, which he attributed to the state’s inability to connect to the central government since the beginning of the current democratic dispensation from 1999.
