.
He said “over N2.6b monthly allocation to the 27 LGAs of the state has remained unaccounted for by the present government, Yet Imo State is the 9th highest indebted state, with over N207b, among the 36 states of the country.
Speaking on insecurity, he said his believes in the carrot and stick approach, promising to grant amnesty  to agitators and other militant groups.
On education, Anyanwu likened the state of public schools in the state to graveyard and promised that his administration would declare a state of emergency in the education and health sectors by resuscitating the health centres across the state as well as breaking the jinx in the employment of medical doctors which has existed since 2009.
.
Fielding questions from newsmen during the event, Director, Special Duties, Imo State Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Jeff Emeka Nwachukwu, described PDP as “the only party which Imo people are looking up to change Imo State and make it safe again.
“You can see we are very prepared. We have a governorship candidate that is tested. A former two-term local government chairman, a two-term House of Assembly member, former Senator, a man who knows the problem of Imo and has the capacity to govern the state.”
