How the book "Bella visits Port Harcourt park" is hitting the Nigerian market in grandstyle - Author

Suffice to say that Nigerian youth face multiple challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and underemployment, limited educational opportunities, and health challenges, among others.

Happily, the likes of one Udekwu Obinna Cornelius is not one to see a problem and turn a blind eye to it. He told this reporter that he has authored some children’s books.

An encounter recently with Cornelius the Author of a children’s book tilted: “Bella visits Port Harcourt park” in Enugu brought to fore how many Nigerian youths have been confronting the hydra-headed challenges through literary works.

Author Cornelius who said in an interview that his newest book – “Bella visits Port Harcourt park” is hitting the market in grandstyle, stated that its setting is in one of the river line states of Nigeria, where one of the predominant sources of livelihood was fishing. There lives a man and his family whose daughter named Bella was not only beautiful but brainy. Her father would not fail to do anything to show his love for his young lass.

“Young Bella from a poor family had a wish in that she longed to visit the luxurious park. Her wish can be granted only after a dire price was paid before she could live out her dreams. It is all interwoven in this intriguing plot of bravery and its reward.

“The story is about determination, love and sacrifice, and the rewards of hard work and bravery.

“The book is attracting many readers mostly children despite the low level of readership among the Nigerian youths”, he said.

The man Author Udekwu Obinna Cornelius:

He is a Nigerian, and a registered member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and also a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). His works are mainly on children’s intrusion fantasy, and have authored many books including the classic children’s story “Anne and Cindy series” of which one of the subtitles “the tale of an old farmer”, is an interesting read. Other titles include the fantasy series “Nancy and the mottled Cherry”.
