Group backs FCT call for state recognition, says demand is timely

A Non-Governmental Organisation known as Dan Ukwu Leadership Foundation (DULF), has backed the call by residents of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja to allow them have state governor and other political appointments accruing to other states in the country.

Speaking to Daily News Nigeria Correspondent in Enugu on Monday, the Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation, Daniel Ukwu explained, “This is right since the judiciary is denying there no privilege attached to Abuja status.

According to him, “Nigeria judiciary is more sensitive to moral interpretation than technical issues.

His words:

“I strongly believe the judiciary is not worst than Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) itself.

“The demand is timely since no special status attached. If people can no longer trust judiciary for fairness, people may resort to alternative self defense.

“Nigeria should be more sensitive to moral interpretation than technical issues.

“INEC must not adhere to electronic instructions as a guide is unacceptable

“Nigeria is on fire now as 90% of leadership failure is character driven failure. We have leaders who cannot compromise at least opportunity.

“We need leaders who still believe in one Nigeria.Who believe in Nigeria dream if any today since we still have Nigeria passport not Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo passport. Some of our leaders are our greatest problem against our greatest solutions.

“Some occupy leadership position with a little mindset against large heart. Some leaders think more like village man than a man or woman who have traveled the world.

“I also believe that Peter Obi is redefining great awareness and advocacy in Nigeria politics today win or lose notwithstanding.

“Nigeria is morally decay at all levels of our political system, business etc. Only right leaders at every level is needed. Leaders who think of others more than themselves and their associates. Leaders with character and moral trust.
