Gov Uzodimma lauds NDDC for numerous impactful projects in Imo

Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma has showered encomiums on the management and staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for its impactful projects and programmes in the state.

Uzodimma made this commendation, yesterday while addressing a team from the Commission who paid him courtesy visit at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Owerri.

The Governor expressed the gratitude of the government and people of Imo state for projects such as the NDDC light up programme, massive rehabilitation of rural roads, among others.

Uzodimma promised that the government and people of Imo State will continue to give the Commission the necessary support and play their role in ensuring seemless execution of their projects in the state.

He used the opportunity to congratulate the new management team of the Commission for their numerous achievements since assuming office, and for introducing new and better ways of doing things, with unity of purpose.

“You have demonstrated proficiency and team work. You have carried out lots of reforms in the commission, shown new modern and efficient ways of managing projects, while maintaining diligence in payment of contract sums. I can only say, keep the flag flying”, the Governor submitted.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of NDDC Board, Mr Chiedu Ebie used the opportunity to appreciate the Imo State Governor, who incidentally is the chairman of the Commission’s advisory council for his passionate support for the Board since its inauguration.

He informed the Governor that his team was in Owerri for series of activities, which will include commissioning of the reconstructed 7.8km Eziama- Abba_Owerri-Nkworji Road, linking Nwangele and Isiala Mbano.
