Gov Uzodimma condemns bloody attack on soldiers in Imo says, security agents will fish out perpetrators

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has condemned in its entirety the attack on a group of soldiers in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state which led to the death of some of the soldiers.

Uzodimma condemned the dastardly act when he led other leaders of the state and security agents to the scene of the incident for an on-the-spot assessment.
.
While expressing deep sense of sadness, the governor blamed the incident on bad spot of the road which necessitated that motorists must slow down, making the hoodlums to cashed in to lay ambush for the soldiers.

The governor who was visibly angry, said, “We will look into it. The security agents will get them. We have leaders in this area, our brothers and sisters who live in this area. This battle has to be collectively fought. People must volunteer information because these people don’t just emerge from heaven. They live among us.”

He described the attack as a sad event, commending the soldiers and other security operatives for being able to manage their temper in the face of provocation.

“I’m very sad, I feel hurt. It is a terrible situation. A situation where security officers will come to work for us and people will come from nowhere to ambush them and take their lives.
.
“We will pray to God to take care of the situation. As human beings, we will also do our part to console and support the families while praying God to give them the fortitude to bear the loss.”
