The Female Military Veterans Association of Nigeria (FMVA) has advocated solidarity and love amongst its fold.
FMVA participated in the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration at Eagle Square, honoring the memory of fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives to defend the nation.
The group led by the National Coordinator, Vet. Moronike Grace Henry, actively engaged in the event.
In her remarks, Henry reflected on the sacrifices made by others, emphasizing that their survival as veterans is by God’s grace.
She encouraged the FMVA community to support one another, particularly single mothers within their ranks, to help them lead fulfilling lives.
It would be recalled that, Vet. Henry had earlier urged FMVA members to remain steadfast and seek partnerships with reputable global organizations to empower their community, highlighting the need for collective progress among female veterans who have given their all in service to the nation.
The FMVA, inaugurated on November 11, 2024, is committed to fostering unity and solidarity among female veterans. “We are sisters in service and must build strong bonds of support,” she stated.
After the day’s events, the FMVA held a brief meeting with the Chairman of the Nigerian Legion at the Legion House in Garki, Area 3, where members had the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance from senior officials.
The day concluded with a minute of silence and prayers offered for departed comrades.
