Federal Lawmaker trains 301 youths on digital skill development in Enugu

A member of House of Representatives for Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal constituency, Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Chijioke Stanislaus Okekeke has empowered 301 youths on digital skill training in his area.

Hon. Okekeke said the skill development training was part of his campaign promises to uplift the standard of living of his constituents, especially empowering the youths with necessary skills to fit into the global  employment market.

The acknowledgement of the training programme under ‘CSO Tech programme’ manifested as one of the achievements of the Enugu Federal Lawmaker within his first month in office, during a virtual town hall meeting with his constituents held on Saturday.

Hon Okereke said his organisation “CSO Tech” hit the ground running immediately after the 2023 general elections with only 50 trainees, pointing out that one month after in office, the number of trainees has increased to 301.
.
According to him, out of the 301 trainees,138 are active interns while 160 are undergoing orientation.
.
“The various academies under which the youths are being mentored include Cisco Academy and Ingressive for Good,  National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Yappi Animation Academy, Terra Learning etc”
.
The Lawmaker promised to support the best of the trainees with digital devices to continue their individual businesses.
“In one month, we have been able to bring together more than 200 tech interns as promised in my manifesto, five months earlier than the planned six months take-off.

“We look forward to supporting the best CSO interns with digital devices to enhance their development such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones”

“Further orientation/internship is lined up to prepare the Youths for Tech opportunities across the world”, Hon Okereke assured”, he added.

Checks revealed six of the interns who are already certified as Tech graduates were employed by CSO Tech Programme to mentor other aspiring constituents on digital skill development.
