Ex-governor Ikpeazu Expresses Sadness over Ogbor Hill, Aba Accident

Immediate-past Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed deep sadness at the news of the accident at Ogbor Hill, Aba, earlier today where an articulated vehicle lost control and killed some persons, and injured many others.
.
Ikpeazu, who describes as “disturbing and distressing”, pictures and videos from the scene of the accident, sends his deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and prays for the quick recovery of the injured.
.
The former governor who spoke through his Aide, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, advised the State Government to consider banning the movement and operations of such articulated vehicles during the day when the roads are busy with vehicular and human traffic.
He added that they should  restrict their operations to a specific time frame at night when the people are asleep and the roads are free.
“Such a step will help reduce these kinds of accidents on our roads and save lives.
.
“As we approach the end of the year, we must all be mindful of our safety, especially on the roads. While safety ultimately is of God, we all must play our parts in keeping our roads free of accidents”. Dr Ikpeazu added.
