ESUT Lagos Alumni Annual Conference holds on Saturday, November 25

All is now set for this year’s Lagos Branch of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Alumni Conference slated for November 25 at MUSON CENTRE Onikan, Lagos.

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State is among the top dignitaries expected at the event while the Guest Speaker will be  Engr. Chief (Sir) Dr Innocent Akuvue (KSJI) FNSE.
.
In a statement by the Branch President,Gil Emeka Abonyi, made available to Daily News Nigeria, stated that the theme of the event is: “Entrepreneurship Development and Self Employment”
.
Awards are expected to be bestowed on some members of the Alumni who excelled in their different chosen careers.
.
Among them are: Engr. Chief (Sir) Dr. Innocent Akuvue (KSJI) FNSE- Chairman/CEO GGI Group Limited.
.
Others are: Mr. Evaristus Ndu Okeke- Asst. Gen Manager Zenith Bank PLC, Prince Tony Aniemeke- MD/CEO Heirs Insurance Brokers-UBA Group, Engr. Charles Iwuamadi- Asst. Gen. Manager Transmission Company of Nigeria 5. Engr. Sir. Ossy Adubasim FNSE- President/CEO- JOC & JOC Group.

Recall that the Lagos was officially inaugurated in a colourful ceremony on March, 2007 by the then Vice Chancellor Professor I.J. Chidobem and the then National President Chief (Sir) Dr Innocent Akuvue (KSJI) FNSE.

According to Abonyi, “At present, the branch is made up of 60 members. Apart from contributing meaningfully to the welfare of our Alma Mater, it is a forum for social integration among the alumni where opportunities are grabbed as a result of familiarity and oneness.
.
“This year’s 2023 Annual Alumni Event is another great event in our checkered history. We are honouring with special awards some of our committed members who have excelled in their careers and in the support of Lagos Branch and our great Alma Mater.

“With the changing dynamics In the world and nations economy, we have also chosen an astute business professional and prolific resource speaker to handle our Event
.
“It is our sincere wish that our Alma Mater will remain among the best universities in Nigeria.

“Alumni members should always be proud of their Alma Mater that made them whatever they are and support the infrastructural growth and academic excellence.

“We are grateful to all that supported our Annual Event 2023. We salute the Planning Committee members for the great sacrifices in making the event successful.
