Enugu West Zone: Progressives Meet in Ezeagu

 …Call On APC Acting National Chairman, Dalori To Reconcile Warring Factions In Enugu

A one-day stakeholders’ meeting of the Progressive Group, Enugu West Senatorial Zone, has ended in Iwolo in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State with a call on the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori to bring good governance in APC and reconcile all warring parties within the factions in Enugu State.

The group noted that reconciliation would open up the party for further growth to improve on its presidential electoral result of 4772 in the 2023 general election.

The call was contained in a communique issued on Wednesday and signed by the former Enugu State Chairman of APC, Dr Ben Nwoye, Chief Ocho Obodoeze, Hon. Tony Ibekwe, Dr Oby Ajih, Hon Ifeanyi Chime, Chief Chuks Owoh
.

“On the issues of economic development in Enugu State,  the Group commends Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for aggressively pursuing developmental projects to unlock the economic and cultural potentials of Enugu State.

“The Group applauded  the procurement of commercial aircrafts by the Governor Peter Mbah led State Government. The Group called on the Federal  Government to speed up the process of inspections, licensing and permits in order for the legacy airline to commence operation smoothly.

“The Group Commends President Bola Amed Tinubu for siting a Nigerian  Naval Base in Enugu. The Group believes that the Naval base will help to curtail the security threats along Enugu North Senatorial  District  in particular and  Enugu State in general.

“The Group took note of the political development in the All Progressives Congress and commends President Tinubu for the appointment  of Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori as the Acting National All Progressives Congress.

“The Group congratulates Hon. Dalori and urged him to bring good governance in APC and reconcile all warring parties within the factions in the State and open up the party for further growth to improve on its presidential electoral result of 4772 in the 2023 general election.

“The Group congratulates the National leadership of political Coalition for adopting ADC as a political platform with the  intention of challenging the APC led Government come 2027.  The Group notes that strong opposition party is a necessary ingredient of true democracy that will entrench good governance in Nigeria.

“The leadership of the Progressives Group commends members of the Group from Enugu West Senatorial District  who turned up in their number to delibrate on  the welfare of the people of Enugu State  in particular and Nigerians in general.
