Enugu Sports Club Honours Gov Mbah As  Barrister Ifeanyi Nweke takes over as new  Chairman

Enugu Sports Club on Saturday confered on Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah as its President just as Barrister Ifeanyi Nweke was unanimously elected as new Chairman of the Club.
.
Also, the Club 1929 remodelled under the leadership of Sir Victor Atuonwu the immediate-past  Chairman of the Club was commissioned yesterday.
.
Governor Mbah praised efforts of Sir Atuonwu and his executive for ensuring the transformation of the Club house.
.
Mbah noted that Enugu Sports Club serves as functional cohesion and for maintenance of good health.
.
He assured that he would discharge his role creditably as the Club President.
.
Speaking after his investiture as the Club President, Governor Mbah promised that his administration would not rest on its oars to ensure steady power supply in the state, improvement in Internal Generation Revenue (IGR), educational and health sectors as well as infrastructural development.

In his speech, Sir Victor Atuonwu commended  governor Mbah for his humongous support to ensure that the clubhouse which was demolished to be rebuilt from scratch was achieved hence the commissioning.
.
Atuonwu also praised those who assisted the club during his tenure as the Chairman urging them to extend same to the incoming Chairman of the Club, Barrister Nweke.

The former Chairman mentioned other needs of the club including asphalting of the road, working on the swimming pool and other portions of the club for out door games.
.
 He urged people to come and register in the club to remain fit and exchange business ideas.
.
The event which witnessed the installation of some patrons of the Club was attended by former Governor of Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani of the Police Service Commission, One time Minister of Information,Chief Nnia Nwodo, the Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Chief Lloyd Ekweremadu Jnr ,some Members of State Executive Council among other notable personalities and club members.

Meanwhile, Barrister Nweke who was elected Chairman of the club unopposed is expected to deliver his acceptance speech on Sunday to outline his vision for the tenure and formally present his cabinet to the club for ratification.
