ENUGU CP TASK NEW PASSED-OUT CONSTABLES ON DEDICATION, DISCIPLINE

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, has tasked new passed-out police constables from the state to uphold dedication and discipline as they begin their careers in Nigeria Police Force

The commissioner gave the task on Sunday while addressing the 252 new police constables from the state at the State Command Headquarters in Enugu.

Uzuegbu underscored the need for honesty and discipline as the bedrock of the Nigeria Police.

He encouraged the new police personnel to remain steadfast, exercise their discretionary powers responsibly.

“I want you to avoid actions that could bring disrepute to the Nigeria Police in the discharge of your duties,” he said.

It would be recalled that the 252 General Duty Police Constables from Enugu State are among the recruits trained and graduated from the Police College, Oji-River, on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025.

Their graduation is part of the nationwide recruitment of 10,000 constables into the Nigeria Police.

The constables would be deployed to their respective local government areas in Enugu State, in line with the Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, commitment to improving public safety and security through a community-oriented and people-centered policing strategy.
