Enugu Council Chairman assures Community of maximum support

Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. Solomon Izuchukwu Onah has assured the people of Owerre-Eze Orba  that his leadership would give the community all the needed support to take off as a newly created autonomous community in the state.

Hon. Onah made this known when the Igwe-elect of the community, Dr. Chidi Ugwu and his people paid “a thank you” visit to him at his residence in Owerre-Eze Orba.
.
The Chairman who was represented by Mr. Onah Nwa Onah, expressed satisfaction on the visit, saying, “I am happy that you are here to appreciate the kind gesture of the chairman to the community”.
.
He however expressed regret on his unavoidable absence, noting that  he was on official trip to Abuja.
.
While pointing out that Hon. Onah was born and bred in the community, he stressed that whatever affects the community affects him.
.
He added that the recent autonomy given to Owerre Eze Orba by the immediate past Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi  was a right choice that would open a new wave of opportunities for the growth and development of the area.
.
While commending Ugwuanyi for recognizing the community, the Chairman urged the people to support and partner with the government of Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for more dividends of democracy, assuring them that he would be fair to all the communities in the state.

On his part, Mr. Onah Nwa Onah, who is the father of Hon. Solomon Izuchukwu Onah said he won’t forget the honour in a hurry and pledged to remain part and parcel of the community, emphasizing, ” l am  Owerre-Eze Orba and will remain Owerre-Eze Orba”
.
Earlier in his remarks, the community leader, His Royal Majesty, Simeon EzeOrba, stated that the visit was to thank the chairman for his assistance and support in the actualization of their goal, adding that they would remain grateful to the former Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Ugwuanyi for leveraging the community to autonomous status.

The Igwe-elect, Ugwu in his remarks said he was appreciative of the recognition given to the community by Ugwuanyi and the support of the local government Chairman, Hon. Onah.

“We are happy with Ugwuany’s gesture to us, more so the assistance of Hon. Onah on this laudable project of been autonomous.
.
“In Enugu State, over 700 communities applied for autonomy and in Orba alone, 14 communities applied. But out of the 14, only three, including Owerre-Eze Orba which are in Orba Ward 1 were given autonomous status.
.
This is why we deemed necessary to say thank you to the Chairman for his support. We cannot thank him enough but God will do”, he said.
.
The visit attracted people from different walks of life, including the elderly and the youths.
