…as CEO/GM, Amobi debunks leaving, assures fans, Coach Ilechukwu will renew contract

Chief Executive Officer and General Manager (CEO/GM) of Rangers International football club of Enugu, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku has debunked leaving the club just as he confirmed that the Coach of the football outfit, Fidelis Ilechukwu would renew his contract.

Also, Barrister Alex Egbo has been announced as the new Administrative Secretary of Rangers International F.C as he replaced the former scribe, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua.

Disclosing this at a media interactive session held at the Corporate Office of the ‘Flying Antelopes’ on Tuesday, the CEO/GM of Rangers, said that Coach Fidelis would sign a new contract with the NPFL defending champions because he keys in perfectly into the visions and plans of the club.

Amobi also reassured the club”s fans and supporters of his dedication towards the course of Rangers Football club, debunking rumors of his exit.
.
“Fidelis Ilechukwu plans on staying. He said he is not going to any other club but pledge his commitment to the vision of the club”.
.
“It is important I say it here, is not been up to twenty four hours he sat here and told me, boss, am not living; He told me clearly, but he said I have to promise him am staying and I have made a promise to you people, if God keeps us alive, I am staying”.
.
He further highlighted that, the former plateau United, Heartland, gaffer, who signed for the club in July 2023, is a coach that understands how to encourage young players.

“Like Uwumiro Frank who was first written off in his first game in Jos last year, right now, Frank is among the best five strikers in the league and in the next six months, Frank will rule Africa, look at Kazeem and Saviour, this is all because of Fidelis mindset,” he said.

The CEO also talked about his enjoyable cordiality with Ilechukwu, noting that, he is an honest coach with his emotions.

Amobi also used the briefing to expose the media to the success of the Academies, which he said is the future of the club, the Rangers foundation, it’s sponsors, including Afrinvest.

On appointment of Egbo, the CEO/GM stated that the choice of the young scribe was very apt.

While thanking the former Administrative Secretary for his astute disposition during his service in the club, Amobi wished him well in his new appointment.

He challenged the new scribe to be at his best at all times so as to help the club achieve its set targets for the season and beyond.

“I sincerely want to thank our former administrative secretary, Ferdinand Ugwuarua, for holding forth the mantle of leadership as he ensured that the ideals of the club were maintained. It is my strong belief that the scribe of the club, Barrister Alex Egbo, who is a Rangers through and through, will come up with great ideas that will help us conquer on all fronts and help Rangers to aspire for greater heights in the committee of football playing clubs both within and outside the shores of the country. He has shown a great deal of understanding in the running of club football since functioning as a technical assistance,” stated the Rangers boss.

In his speech, Barrister Egbo, thanked management and staff for giving him the opportunity to serve and promised to give his all to ensure that Rangers continues to fly higher amongst top clubs in the country and continent.

“Having served as Technical Assistant to the General Manager of the club and I am conversant with the operations of this great club and with the collaborations of staff and management, we are going to come up with a sustainable achievement.”
