Confusion as Woman disappears  with two kids in Enugu Community

Residents of Iside Community in Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State were Sunday thrown into confusion following the disappearance of a seven year old girl and her five year old brother.

Story has it that on that fateful day, the two who hail from Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, returned from church service in the afternoon without their mother and a neighbour, a lady who parked into their compound less than two weeks with a mat and a gas cylinder, bolted with the duo into thin air.

Sources say the strange lady asked the kids to accompany her to refill her gas cylinder and that was the last they we’re seen.

Investigation shows that the landlord of the yard, Mr. Benjamin Ogbodo-Ene has been arrested by the police in connection with the disappearance of the children.

Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu South chapter, Ozo  Emmanuel Ugwu, aka Enyiduru described the incident as an abomination and charged the security agents to ensure that the lady is apprehended before the children will come the harm’s way.
.
“This is an abomination.  I urged the security agents to ensure that the woman is arrested and prosecuted and to also ensure that no harm happens to the kids,” Ugwu urged.

The police could not confirm the story as the State Police Public Relations Officer,  Daniel Ndukwe declined to respond to message sent to his WhatsApp.
