The Ijaw Women Connect (IWC) 9n Tuesday said that with the demise of Pa Edwin Clark, the Ijaw Nation has lost its voice.

Founder/Pioneer President IWC-Worldwide made this known in a statement on Tuesday in Yenagoa.
“The passage of Chief. Dr. Sen Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON is a colossal loss to the people of the Ijaw Ethnic nationality, Niger Delta and the South South geo-political Region at large.
“With a heavy heart, we mourn the passing of our father, mentor, and fearless Ijaw leader, Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR,CON.
“His wisdom, courage, and unwavering dedication to the Ijaw nation and Nigeria as a whole shaped generations. To me, he was more than a leader—he was family, a guiding elder whose words and presence gave strength.
“Pa Clark as we fondly called him was a pan Niger Delta nationalist and Nigerian renowned elderstateman known for his fearless disposition to national issues,” the statement read in part
Naingba-Oduone regretted that Ijaws have lost a giant, a pillar and strength of the Regionb adding that Clark was a fearless man with a great sense of humor.
“His brain was one of his most powerful features. He could remember different moments like they just happened.
“Your voice echoed with truth, your hands built bridges of unity, and your heart beat for justice.
” Now, that voice is silent, indeed it’s a shocker, but his legacy will never fade. My heart aches knowing he is no longer with us, but I find solace in the impact he made. Nigeria has lost a giant,” IWC-Worldwide stated.
