A Lagos based Businessman and Proprietor of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant, Chudi Nwabueze, has brought succour to 10 students of Ogidi Girls’ High School, Ogidi in Anambra State by paying their West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) fee.
Nwabueze who doubles as Managing Director of Residency Hotel and Managing Director of Eboneadi FM Radio, Ogidi gave the names of the beneficiaries as: Uchechukwu Mmesoma Miracle, Arinzechukwu Onyinyechukwu Promise, Egbuniwe Chinemelum Josephine, Anyaorah Chinaza Favor, Chioke Adaeze Ifunanya and Metu Uchechukwu Blessing. Others include Onuora Ifunanya Victory, Obiadi Onyinyechi Merritt, Nathan Chisom Favor and Elem Chisom Favor.

Presenting the cheque to the lucky students through the Management of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant at a ceremony in the School premises, Nwabueze stated that the sponsorship of WAEC fee for the students was part of the programmes of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant initiated by the current Ada Ogidi Queen Mary Oluebube Okeke to reward hardworking and brilliance among the girl-child in Ogidi.

Nwabueze, represented by the Coordinator Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant, Jude Nwabueze, alias MC Harmattan, explained “Actually this program of sponsorship of WAEC fees for 10 students of Ogidi Girls Secondary School was initiated by the current Queen to further expand the programs of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant”

According to him, “The students were carefully selected for the WAEC fee sponsorship based on their track records in excellent performance in examinations and hardworking.

He called on other well meaning individuals in Ogidi to join hands with the Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant initiative to continue to promote and offer practical reward in support of good upbringing of the girl-child.

In her appreciation, the Principal of the School, Mrs Josephine Ngozi Okika said she was highly elated that the management of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant and Ebonadi FM visited her school with huge award to sponsor WAEC fee for 10 students and also rewarded the teachers.

Mrs. Okika prayed that God would pay the sponsor back in hundred-fold.

Also in her appreciation, the Senior Prefect of the School Arinzechukwu Onyinyechukwu Promise who is also a beneficiary, thanked the Management of Ada Ogidi Beauty Pageant and Ebonadi FM Radio on behalf of the 10 students.

She added that they are very grateful for the kind gesture and would always put them in prayer for God to continue to bless them.

In her remarks, the reigning Ada Ogidi, Oueen Okeke, urged the beneficiaries to go and shine and make the sponsor and the school proud, thanking the sponsor for accepting to implement her proposal.
