Aba International Trade Fair slated to start from tomorrow, Wednesday 28th November and will last till the seventh (7th) of December, 2024 will go as scheduled.
Making a final inspection of the Aba Mega Mall, the venue of the Trade Fair, Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu declared that the Enyimba City, and the venue is fully ready to host its guests and thrill them with the best experience.
Emetu told newsmen that he is very satisfied with the manner of preparation and things that have been put in place for the Trade Fair.
He said, “Here is conducive to our industrialists and business people of all levels. A lot of companies have shown support and with what I’m seeing here today, I’m satisfied that we’re prepared for the trade fair.”
According to Emetu, the government is proud of Aba people and is aware that they are also ready to be wonderful host, as several information about the 10 day event have been passed to the people through different medium.
“The intrastate rally has been notifying our residents more about the event. There has also been door-to-door sensitization through to hand shake we had with the Aba Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ACCIMA).
“We’ve been communicating with the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to reach those in their various local government areas to use the opportunity to make the world to know more about them.
“Aba, people have been very industrious and hardworking. The presence of goog government is just an icing in the cake for Aba people. We promised to make things easier for them. They don’t even need much except a few things like accessible and security. We urge everyone to take part.”
The Chairman of the Aba International Trade Fair Joint Planning Committee, Chief Nwaka Inem, said that the booths are now fully ready for the companies that have already subscribed.
He said that other companies that have showed interest just recently and already approached the committee still have space for them and even other interested companies, because everyone interested will be accommodated.
“The companies have arrived. The stands are currently being decorated and branded by their owners so, we’re ready. Remember that some companies, like construction companies that have no goods to display, will equally come to their stands with their banners.
“We even have spaces for people that cannot afford these booths. They can do their own in the other side where we made provisions for them, so, we’ll accommodate everyone, even for open marketing.
“There’s an air-conditioned mobile hall for the seminar and business summit. You can see the state is peaceful, Aba is ever ready, our people are happy and they wish tomorrow is now today so that we can kick-off.”
