Abia @32: Ahiwe Calls for Prayers, says The Rainbow of Hope is Perceptible

Abia State Governorship Candidate in the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Chief Okey Ahiwe has congratulated Abians on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Abia State

.

In a statement by his Media Adviser, Victor Nwokocha, made available to Daily News Nigeria on Sunday, Ahiwe described the anniversary as a significant milestone in the chronicles of Abia history.

Chief Ahiwe noted that though Abia may not have attained her full potentials at 32, the State has been essentially lifted from the craters of civilization and is better positioned for a revolutionary leap towards fully actualizing its prospects in measurable socio-economic contexts that must reflect in peoples’ welfare, as well as fulfilling the larger mission of (re)shaping Nigeria’s socio-political destiny in collective best interests, particularly for Ndi Igbo.

Looking back to the future in deeper retrospection, Chief Ahiwe observed that through sunshine and shadows, the rainbow of hope for a greater Abia is perceptible in optimistic terms, and called on all Abians to pray for the State, strengthen their commitment to its growth, exercise their faith in the realistic possibilities of a brighter tomorrow, and continue to equip themselves with functional knowledge for innovative self-development.

He paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers of Abia State for their expansive vision and sacrifice, and urged Abia elders to continue to cultivate in youths the values of ‘Onye Ahala Nwanneya’ and ‘Egbe bere, Ugo bere’ on which the founding fathers anchored their advocacy for sustainable peace and social justice in Abia State.
