Power outage: Parts of Enugu to be affected – MEDL

The MainPower Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MEDL) has announced of planned power outage, saying parts of Enugu will be affected.

MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) in a statement on Tuesday, stated that the scheduled power interruption is to carry out essential maintenance works on its facilities in the area.

Parts of the statement read:

“The MainPower Electricity Distribution Company Limited wishes to inform her esteemed customers in parts of Enugu Metropolis of a *planned power outage* scheduled for Wednesday 1st October, 2025 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
.
“This outage is to enable the *Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)* carry out essential maintenance works on its facilities, and this will affect the following 33KV Feeders/Lines: Kingsway (Lines 1 & 2), Emene Industrial (Lines 1 & 2), Ugwuogo, Thinkers Corner, Trans Ekulu, Ituku Ozalla, and Government House.

“Consequently, the areas that would be affected include: 9th Mile and surrounding communities, Government House and environs, Shoprite Axis, Golf Estate, Zoo Estate, Okpara Avenue, Kingsway Area, Abakaliki Road, CBN Quarters, Railway Quarters, Artisan, Ngwo, Coal Camp, Ologo Quarters, Uwani, Asata, Golden Royale, and Iva Valley.

“We sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause our esteemed customers and assure them that supply will be restored once the maintenance exercise is completed.

“Mainpower remains committed to delivering improved and reliable service to her customers.
