.
All is now set for the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair scheduled to hold from April 4 – 14, this year.
.
Making this known at a press conference in Enugu on Thursday was the President of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture  (ECCIMA), Sir Odeiga Jideonwo.
.
Jideonwo who disclosed that Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State would declare open the Trade Fair, said that Minister of Industry is also expected to be at the opening ceremony which would be held at the permanent ground of the fair in Enugu the Enugu State capital.
.
Intimating newsmen on the forthcoming trade fair, the ECCIMA Boss said the theme of the Fair: “Developing Nigeria Industrial Sector/SMEs for Economic Advancement and Global Recognition,” is apt and timely.
.
He said that to make the Fair special and attract more companies and exhibitors, they engaged a marketing consulting firm to develop a robust marketing plan.  This he said was their quest to revive the glory of the Fair.
.
His words: “We are expecting that the Fair would be declared open by our working Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah whose drive for enabling business environment has helped to attract a number of multinational companies to participate in this year’s Fair.
.
“It is also hoped that the Hon. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment who coordinates the activities of the Chamber movement in the country will also be on ground to give her blessings to the Fair,” Jideonwo said.
.
“In November 2024, we signed an MOU with one of the first ten marketing consulting companies in Nigeria, Xavier Communications Ltd, to develop a robust marketing plan and attract meaningful exhibitors/companies to the Fair.  The move was in our quest to revive the glory of the Enugu International Trade Fair,” he said.
.
The ECCIMA President who said that many foreign and local companies would grace the Fair, commended Dangote group of industries and the Nigeria Brewery PLC for the way they have been sponsoring the Chamber to ensure that the International Trade Fair is not relegated to the background.  He said that both companies have always made the Fair thick with their presence.
.
“I make bold to let you know that Dangote Industries Ltd and Nigeria Brewery PLc have decided to remain steadfast with ECCIMA in ensuring that the Enugu International Trade Fair is not relegated to the background.  Both companies are standing tall as the major sponsors of the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair and their presence bin the Fair, we believe will make the difference.”
.
Jideonwo therefore appealed to the media to hype the forthcoming Fair so that the whole world would know of the magnitude of such business window.
.
“Our call is simple, “let’s join hands and bring the world to Enugu to state using the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair Platform,” he stated.
