… pass vote of confidence on Tinubu on transformative leadership

A one-day meeting of stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Enugu State has ended in Enugu with a move to set up a Committee to write the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Simon Ortuanya, to investigate the authenticity of graduation and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificates being paraded by Chief Uchenna Nnaji.

Nnaji, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology has been embroiled in certificate saga since he assumed office under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu government.

In a communique made available to newsmen on Tuesday, the stakeholders alleged, “The purported claim that Chief Nnaji won Enugu East Senatorial District election in1999 is not true.
.
“He was a placeholder for H.E.Sen Jim Nwobodo and was adequately compensated with a membership of Board of FCT
.
“That we the Enugu State APC Stakeholders are apologizing to the people of Enugu State for the embarrassment Chief Nnaji caused during the recently concluded Enugu South by- election.
.
“Chief Nnaji could not win his own election in 2023 and did not support the party candate in Enugu South Constituency 1 election. We are at lost as to why he went to Enugu South with his tugs to distrupt the by election which is basically between Labour party and PDP as APC could not win even if allocated the entire votes.
.
That the ADC coalition is an embodiment of president Tinubu serial election losers that have no policy direction for the advancement of Nigeria.

“We reaffirm that Ugochukwu Agballa is not the State Chairman of APC Enugu state. We will notify the National Working Committee through the APC National Chairman that Barr Agballa has been removed by a court Order of a competent jurisdiction.
.
“Consequently, we will put the NWC on notice of the effect Barr Agballa to continues participation at the meetings of the National Executive Committee. Any resolution passed at such meetings attended by Barr Agbala is subject to litigation and voidable.
.
“Chief Uchenna Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation Science and Technology, continues silence about his certificate saga is troubling to the people of Enugu State in particular and Nigerians in general.
.
“We the Enugu State APC Stakeholders are apologizing to the people of Enugu State for the embarrassment Chief Nnaji caused during the recently concluded Enugu South by- election.

The stakeholders, therefore, stated that they have passed a vote of confidence on the transformative leadership of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and endorsed him for second tenure come 2027.

On the rumour that Governor Peter Mbah might decamp to APC, the stakeholders said that they “are happy welcoming the governor to the party so that Enugu State can take her place in the national politics.”

The communique issued after the meeting held at Sheriff Hotel, Enugu was signed by former Enugu Speaker, Barrister Eugene Odoh (For Enugu North senatorial Zone), Dr. Ben Nwoye (For Enugu East Senatorial zone), Dr. El Ajah (For Enugu West Senatorial zone), Hon. Dr. Oby Ajih (For APC National Assembly Candidates), Hon. Barr. Godwin Onwusi (For 2023 APC House of Assembly Candidates), Dr. Alphonsus Nwafor, State Acting state Chairman (For State Executive)
