2023: Governor Fintiri re-elected in Adamawa State after long battle

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has atlast declared Governor Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa the winner of the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.

Professor Muhammed, the Returning Officer of INEC said Governor Fintiri, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is returned elected.”

The governor garnered 430,869 votes to beat Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 398,788.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had slated April 15 for the supplementary elections to complete the exercise after the process couldn’t be completed on March 18.
