2023: Enugu Tribunal dismisses APC petition against Mbah, Edeoga

The Enugu State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed the case filed by Uchenna Nnaji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) against Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Chijioke Edeoga of Labour Party (LP) and Frank Nweke of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The APC candidate had petitioned the court alleging that candidates of the three other political parties were not qualified to contest the March 18 election.

In the ruling on Tuesday, the court held that the pre- hearing notice filed by the petitioner was premature and ran foul of the 2022 Electoral Act.
