The MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) has said that some technical works on their power transformers had been partially completed in the affected parts of Enugu.

A statement by Emeka Ezeh, Head Communications, MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited, made available to Daily News Nigeria on Thursday, reads in parts:

“The MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited wishes to inform her customers that the power outage that took place yesterday to enable the TCN maintenance crew carry out some technical works on their power transformers was partially completed.
.
“As a result, our Kingsway (Lines 1&2) and Emene Industrial (Lines 1&2) 33KV feeders were restored to service while Trans-Ekulu, Thinkers Corner, Ituku Ozalla, and Ugwuogo 33KV feeders are still out of service as the maintenance work is still on going and expected to be completed today.

“Consequently, our customers in Trans-Ekulu, Ugbo Odogwu, NOWAS and environs, Ugbene 2, the entire Abakpa area and Nike communities, National Orthopaedic Hospital, 82 Division, Area Command, Thinkers Corner, parts of Emene New Haven Extension, Amechi community, parts of Amechi and Agbani roads, Mayor, Idaw River, parts of Garki, Obeagu, and Akwuke, are currently without electricity supply.

“We regret the inconvenience this has caused our esteemed customers and assure them that supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance is completed.
